When your sitting in traffic in Accra in a crowded tro tro, the one thing that can brighten up your day is 8 oz of COLD filtered water. Street kids walk up and down the street with big bowls on their head filled with water satchels and sell them all day for 5 peswas (about 3 cents). Everyday thousands of these left over bags are thrown in the street. Global Mama's decided to do something about this problem: Global Mamas - Madina, Ghana This bag is hand made in Ghana from 100% recycled polyethylene plastic. Trashy Bags are made in a small workshop in Madina, Ghana. This Bag is Rubbish! 270 tons of plastic waste is generated every day in Ghana, 85% from non-biodegradable bags containing purified water and ice cream. Recycling plastic is creating a healthier environment and generating jobs for many Africans. 5C <3s Recycling 5C <3s Africa
These are Hot Topic Skull Footless Tights. These tights have a print of various white skulls on a dark grey background. They will be a fun and edgy addition to an outfit.
This was my final project for my sculpture project this year. I wanted to make something that expressed the way me and my friend Alisha have grown together as vegetarians, yogis, and lovers of the environment.
So the way i went about making this dress was i welded two structures out of thin metal rods, that fit around the torsoe of my wonderful model Alisha. Then i hot-glued sticks to the outside of the two peices and weaved vines through the spaces to give the dress some more volume. After that i connected the two peices together with two denim straps that allowed the two structures to fall over Alisha's torsoe whcih made up the top of the dress. After that i went outside and picked some maple branches and weaved them through the bottom of the structure...this made for the skirt. After that i zip tied the two metal structures together, me and alisha smoked a joint and made a quick appearance at the meadow beach party, then we showed off our fresh new style at the Sr. Sculpture show!
Unfortunately this was a one time wear and is not for sale, but if you have any more questions about this dress, or you want me to make something like this for you or someone you know, contact me at 5CeeClothing@gmail.com
This is a Liz Sport by Liz Claiborne Plaid Wool Shirt. The plaid is a fun brown, olive green, dark blue, light blue, purple, and gold print on a cream colored background. There are two breast pockets with a flap and button closure and pockets on each side of the jacket with no flaps. The center has buttons that go all the way down. The collar is chestnut brown suede which compliments the colorful plaid. This is a fun colored jacket with a vintage feel.
This is a Wippette Deep Forest Green Raincoat. Down the center is a very durable zipper. In the front are two large flapped pockets. The inside is lined with a very warm flannel-like material that is purple, yellow, red and teal plaid. This colorful plaid also lines the inside of the hood and is visible. This is a very thick and sturdy, but fashionable raincoat!
